This book enchanted me from beginning to end. A tale of magic and passion, heart warming and greatly atmospheric. The Norse pantheon unfolding with a storytelling instinct of the writer. Set against the harsh back-ground of post -ww2 -Germany, a debut which makes me want to read more. 5***** (Reader review, BN.com, Hexe by Skadi Winter)

A young girl living with her grandmother in a rural German village in the aftermath of World War II. She learns much from her grandmother, things that the girl struggles with, but ultimately comes to understand. This is beautifully written, almost lyrical, sometimes a little mystical ~ which seems to me to be the nature of knowledge shared from a strong and loving grandparent. I can’t wait to read the next book by this author! (Hexe by Skadi Winter, reader’s review on amazon.com)*****

Great read. couldn’t put it down. powerful wording. hopefully more will follow after this brilliant debut. great job skadi winter (Hexe by Skadi Winter on amazon.com, reader’s review)*****
